Spring Regional TKD Grading – April 2024

Open to all ages and all ranks. All members must register to be able to Grade. Registration closes on Friday 19th April at 9:00pm. If you miss this deadline, a £10 per person admin fee will be added to the total cost*. *Admin Fee will not exceed £20.

After previously seeing White to Yellow Belts mostly opting for an in class grading, there will not be an option for a formal grading this time. White, Grey & Yellow Belts can Grade in classes between 13th and 22nd April (dates will be confirmed individually and noted when registering).

Orange to Black Belts will Grade on Saturday 20th April at the Hamble Sports Complex.

EVENT SCHEDULE
With White to Yellow Belts not having a formal Grading option, there will be 2 prep sessions before the Colour Belt and Black Belt Gradings:
9:00am to 10:00am – Orange to Red Belt Prep Session
10:00am to 1:00pm – Orange to Red Belt Grading
1:45pm to 2:30pm – Senior Red & Black Prep Session
2:30pm to 6:00pm – Senior Red & Black Belt Grading

An active and in date licence for April 2024 or later must be held by all. Licences are now automatically renewed each year via the Martialytics system.

PLEASE NOTE: White Events Uniform is REQUIRED to Grade at a Regional Grading Event. If you need a new uniform, please order via the below links:
Child Sizes (100 to 150)
Adult Sizes (160 to 190)

GRADING FEES
Re-Grade – £10
Lil’ Dragon – £20
White, Grey or Yellow Belt – £25
Orange to Red Belt Grade – £30
Black Belt – £50 (if you need a new custom embroidered belt, you can pre-order when registering to receive £5 off)

ELIGIBILITY TO GRADE
Other than age, members must have spent the minimum time in rank. Class attendance will also be taken into consideration. It is recommended that a minimum of 2 classes a week have been attended since the candidate’s last Grading, however lower ranks and Level Grades may qualify if just doing once a week. Please confirm with your Instructor if they believe you are ready and able to Grade.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
All members will be Graded on their Forms, Technique Drills, Self Defence Techniques and Sparring*. Green Belts and above will also do Board Breaking. *White & Grey Belts will do One Steps and Yellow Belts will do 5×5 Drills unless they have Sparring Kit.

AWARDS
Those who successfully achieve a new rank will be presented with their awards in classes from 24th April. PLEASE NOTE: Mr Marshall is on annual leave from 24th April to 7th May. Awards will still be presented in his absence, but there may be some delays.
