Regional Freestyle TaeKwonDo Grading – May 2021 (under 18’s only)

This will be the first indoor Grading of 2021 but due to current restrictions, will only available to those under 18.

ELIGIBILITY TO GRADE
Other than age, members must have spent the minimum time in rank. Class attendance will also be taken into consideration. For those that have been attending virtual classes this year and have returned to indoor training are eligible to Grade if deemed ready by instructors.
For those that did not attend virtual classes but complete a minimum of 12 classes before 7th May, will be able to Grade if ready.

GRADING SCHEDULE
The Grading will take place at Hamble Sports Complex on Saturday 8th May. There will be a short Instructors Seminar at 9:30am until 11:00am. The Grading itself will be split into 2 time slots;
11:15am – Orange to Red Belts
2:00pm – Black Belt Candidates

White, Grey & Yellow Belts will Grade in classes between 4th & 10th May.
All members must register to Grade. An active and in date licence for June 2021 or later must be held by all.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
All members will be Graded on their Forms, Techniques Drills and Sparring as normal. If those choosing to not yet mix, their sparring will be assessed by means of the 5×5 and bag work. Green Belts and above will also do Board Breaking.

Those who successfully achieve a new rank will be presented with their awards from Wednesday 12th May in classes.
