End Of Year Freestyle TaeKwonDo Grading – December 2023
Hamble Sports Complex
Open to all ages and all ranks. All members must register to be able to Grade. Registration closes on Friday 8th December at 9:00pm. If you miss this deadline, a £10 per person admin fee will be added to the total cost*.
*Admin Fee will not exceed £20.
White, Grey & Yellow Belts can Grade in classes between 3rd & 8th December (dates will be confirmed individually). However, there is a 9:00am Grading Session for White, Grey & Yellow Belts on Saturday 9th December at the Hamble Sports Complex if members wish to attend there.
Orange to Black Belts will Grade on Saturday 9th December at the Hamble Sports Complex.
As we had in the Autumn Grading, there will be an Orange to Black Belt class on the day. This helped calm the nerves and aided with confidence levels. With all Instructors on hand to help everyone run through the main points needed, this was a significant change that we are maintaining. The event schedule is as follows:
REGIONAL GRADING SCHEDULE AT HAMBLE
9:00am to 10:00am – Lil’ Dragons, White, Grey & Yellow Belt Grading
9:45am to 10:45am – Orange to Black Belt Pre Grading Class
11:00am to 1:30pm (approx.) – Orange to Red Belt Grading
2:15pm to 6:00pm (approx.) – Senior Red & Black Belts
An active and in date licence for December 2023 or later must be held by all. If you are unsure, please contact Mr Marshall.
PLEASE NOTE: White Events Uniform is REQUIRED to Grade at a Regional Grading Event.
Lil’ Dragon – £20
White, Grey or Yellow Belt – £25
Orange to Red Belt Grade – £30
Black Belt – £50
Re-Grade – £10
ELIGIBILITY TO GRADE
Other than age, members must have spent the minimum time in rank. Class attendance will also be taken into consideration. It is recommended that a minimum of 2 classes a week have been attended since the candidate’s last Grading, however lower ranks and Level Grades may qualify if just doing once a week. Please confirm with your Instructor if they believe you are ready and able to Grade.
All members will be Graded on their Forms, Technique Drills, Self Defence Techniques and Sparring*. Green Belts and above will also do Board Breaking. *White & Grey Belts will do One Steps and Yellow Belts will do 5×5 Drills unless they have Sparring Kit.
Those who successfully achieve a new rank will be presented with their awards at the End of Year Presentation on Sunday 17th December. If you cannot attend this event, awards will be presented in classes before the end of the year after 17th December.
