All Forms will be scored by 3 judges between 1 and 5 (including half points). These will be totalled to determine 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
All Sparring divisions will use the repercharge system/Double Elimination format. If you lose your first round you will drop into the repercharge. If you lose a second round (unless it’s the final round), you will not earn a medal place.
Light Continuous Sparring -judges allocate scores using clickers throughout each 1 minute round. Competitors will not be stopped when scoring each point. At the end of the round, each judge will show the winner with the most scored points to determine the winner.
Point Stop Sparring. Rounds will be 90 seconds. Each time a point/s are scored, the centre judge will call “break” and all judges will call points. 2 judges must agree for points to be awarded.
All Board Breaking divisions will offer competitors 4 breaking options. They will have the choice of a range of different difficulty boards which will be worth certain amount of points. They will get one attempt to break each chosen station to earn the allocated points. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded based on the total points scored.
